Why your not seeing weight loss results with your training
The reasons why most people don't see results with their training is down to a couple simple factors.
Diet
Sleep
Training Intensity
Relying on motivation
Patience
Diet
As a personal trainer at this point I have kind of seen it and heard it all in my career. Majority of the time when people don't see results is because they do not want to be accountable for what they consume on a daily and weekly basis. People may eat clean meals throughout the day and thats's great but they always seem to forget the food and fluid in-between the meals such as the snacking of sweets and biscuits each one of them contain calories that you may not be aware of and the sugary drinks they also consume contain calories so you have to be mindful of them as they may set you off track.
The hidden blow that people never see is the Sauce you include in your meals they contain hundreds of calories that drive up your macros and put you out of your caloric deficit. I would reduce the amount of sauce you pour on your meals but hey you can do what you want but take it from me iv been in your position at one stage.
Sleep
I believe that sleeping in underrated and it is popular not to get much sleep, it really annoys me when people think that not sleeping is cool. if you want to see results you have to get rest. Your body needs rest and lots of it if you want to perform at your optimal , you may not see results because you don't allow your body to repair it self after putting it under pressure from intensive exercise. So stop neglecting sleep your only punishing yourself and its not cool.
Training Intensity
You may not be really working as hard as you think you are, yes at first your training was probably hard but as the weeks go on your still working at the same intensity as week one and that's where your body gets complacent, once this happens you will have to readjust your whole training regime to make it more intensive. Once you get complacent with your training the only thing that follows after that is boredom and when boredom hits you stop going to the gym because its almost like a chore to you. So mix up your sets, rest periods, introduce different types of workouts and use your brain.
Relying on Motivation
Motivation is great a tool to get you started but it doesn't last long, motivation is what we believe we need to get things done but in reality you don't need it what you need is the attitude that getting in shape isn't an option, prioritising your health above everything isn't an option its something that you must do, when you go on dates with your partner you don't need motivation, when you buy new clothes you don't need motivation, when you go out to parties, get drunk and take drugs you don't need motivation so how come when it comes to bettering your health and well being all of a sudden you need MoTiVatiOn to help you get started and to keep you going.
At the end of the day nobody will share your illness, pain or suffering when your poor lifestyle choices catch up to you.
Patience
When it comes to loosing weight you have to be patient with it, nothing happens over night or when you want it to. The reason you seek to loose weight is because of accumulation of your previous bad habits that accumulated over years not days. To loose weight you have to introduce new positive habits that take years of accumulation that lead to you successfully loosing the weight but also keeping it off. Lifestyle changes are hard todo but they pay off, little positive wins turn into major victories remember that. Be open minded and seek help when you need it, don't also believe you know it all because there's always someone out there that has more knowledge than you. Don't look to loose the weight for your next holiday because thats only a short term plan, only incorporate long term plans 10years and more.
